What happened
At Meta Connect 2026, Muse was put on the whole glasses line: say its name and it can run a workout, log a meal, or shop for what you are staring at.
Why it matters
Glasses buyers get a hands-free assistant that sees what they see, and a lighter camera-free model joins the range for the first time.
Remember this
The phone screen is no longer where Meta wants AI to live.
More context & who is affected
At Meta Connect 2026, the wake-word agent was added to every model. Say its name and it steers a workout, logs meals, or shops for whatever sits in view.
The camera-free Audio Ray-Ban is the surprise: 43 grams, roughly 12 hours per charge, priced from $349.
A hearing aid-style upgrade for $149 is FDA-cleared; the Display adds a voice-built face for video calls.

Why glasses for an agent
Meta argues that a frame worn by roughly 2 billion people is the only place an agent can read a room, keep a conversation going all day and show information right where the wearer already looks, so Muse is aimed there before any other device.
- Privacy pushback grew all summer, so Meta extended WhatsApp-style private processing to the wearables too.
- Walk directions on the Display now point to houses and landmarks it detects instead of street signs.

An assistant that acts inside the frame of sight can handle a workout, meal log or purchase without a phone screen.

The $149 Hearing Enhancement update is FDA-cleared software for adults who perceive mild to moderate hearing loss.
