Corrections Policy
We want every WhatsCrack story to be accurate. If you think a story contains a factual error, please tell us.
How to report a possible error
Use the form on our Contact page and choose Correction. Please include:
- the story’s URL;
- the sentence, number, date or detail you think is wrong;
- what you believe is correct; and
- a reliable source or document, if you have one.
What happens next
An editor reviews the passage and the evidence. If we confirm a factual error, we correct the story. When a correction changes the meaning of a story, we add a short note at the end saying what was corrected and when. We correct the English and the Hinglish version together, so both carry the same facts.
For a developing story, new information that changes the picture is added as an update rather than a correction, when the earlier version was accurate on what was known at the time.
A disagreement with our analysis or framing is not automatically a factual error, but we read every substantive message and may clarify wording or add context. We cannot promise that every request leads to a change; we assess each one on its evidence.
