What happened

Anthropic named Accenture its first embedded evaluator on 18 September 2026, with each firm investing at least $1B over five years.

Anthropic has named Accenture its first embedded evaluator, with each firm investing at least $1B over five years. Announced 18 September 2026, it turns Amodei's 'We Must Pace the Frontier' essay into its first real action.

Accenture's AI unit Faculty, acquired in January 2026, will lead the work. Its staff sit inside Anthropic with near-employee access, red-teaming models and testing their safeguards. Anthropic funds this directly.

The partnership is non-exclusive and more evaluators are expected, with talks also with METR and nonprofit groups. Anthropic says embedded evaluators do not reduce its accountability, only make it more verifiable.
