The Hindu ne Jailer 2 ko original ki formula ka almost perfect restatement kaha hai, ek proper sequel jise sahi irade se likha gaya hai, na ki sirf paisa kamane ke liye.
The Hindu ke mutabik kamiyan mein 'Ala Bolelo' ka item dance, interval ke baad ki susti, aur Goa ka birthday scene shamil hai jo apna maza kho deta hai; is sequel mein Rajinikanth dance ya fight nahi karte.
14 October 2026 tak opening weekend ke liye advance bookings Rs 80 crore tak pahunch gayi thi; Hindustan Times ke mutabik worldwide day-1 gross Rs 125-140 crore ho sakta hai, jo teesri sabse badi Tamil opening hai, Coolie aur Leo ke baad.
The Hindu report karta hai ki film ek possible teesri Jailer ke hint ke saath khatam hoti hai, jisse yeh sawal khula reh jata hai ki kya yeh template ek aur instalment ko sustain kar payega.
