Naya charge purane ₹45 se approx 67% zyada hai, jewellers ko ab gold consignment ke liye kam se kam ₹200 dene padege, silver article ₹35 per article hai, ₹150 consignment minimum ke saath.
GJC ne government aur BIS se maang ki hai ki hike ki review ki jaye, kyonki 380 districts mein 60 crore se zyada HUID hallmark hue hain, jo economies of scale se per-article cost kam kar sakti hai.
2025-26 mein 30+ enforcement actions liye fake hallmarking aur unauthorized centres ke khilaf liye gaye hain, jo dikhata hai ki pehle ghalti rokni chahiye, tab tak compliant jewellers par bojh nahi badhana chahiye.
